DHL Carries Delft Hyperloop to California for Test
The Delft Hyperloop Atlas 01 has departed from the Netherlands by DHL aircraft and is on its way to California to set a new speed record.
The Atlas 01 is a capsule developed by students at Delft University of Technology to provide fast passenger and goods transport through vacuum tubes.
At the site in Delft, where the 37 students had spent months perfecting the Atlas 01, the capsule was safely packed in a specially designed flight case to ensure shock-free transport of the complex system to the other side of the world.
Taking advanced technology made up of magnets and batteries across the border requires specific customs expertise and experience with air freight and its regulations by the logistics company.

The team is hoping to set a world speed record with Atlas 01 at Elon Musk's Hyperloop Pod Competition, which aims to stimulate the development of tube transport.
In 2017, the Delft student team won the first Hyperloop competition, which was used to prove that the concept works. Back then, DHL was also Official Logistics Partner of Delft Hyperloop.
