DIMOS - Innovative Automation Solutions for Air Cargo
In this exclusive video Hans Ettengruber, MD of DIMOS FZE, says that today, after overcoming the challenges of the pandemic in 2021, 2022 has begun with dark clouds of a different kind looming over the supply chain and hopefully these challenges will be overcome as well.
Giving an example of innovation through automation, Mr Ettengruber said that DIMOS has developed a new Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) to handle slave palettes called ‘In Track’. This AGV system was introduced at Munich airport late last year.
Talking about the use of technology during the last two years of the pandemic, Mr Ettengruber pointed out that adoption of new technologies also required that the people using it had to upgrade their technical skills to make best use of these technologies.
According to Mr Ettengruber, high costs and big delays were the biggest challenges in the supply chain today. He was however, hopeful that they will be overcome soon.
Mr Ettengruber then thanked TLME for nominating DIMOS for the Most Innovative Company – Automation Award in the Air Cargo section of the TLME Innovation Awards 2022.
