Data Privacy and Cyber Security Big Challenges Facing Digitalisation

During TLME’s Future-Proof Technologies Conference held recently in Dubai, conference moderator and CEO, Partner at Vespucci Maritime, Lars Jensen, ask the panellists what they were doing to ensure the quality of the data they using for their systems – particularly in the Middle East where digitalising was growing rapidly.

Ronald Philip, formerly Sr Director, Strategic Planning at Agility Logistics Parks, said his company was working with some governments in the region on customs modernisation and revisit regulations of data privacy. Today, there are concerns regarding cyber security too, he added.

In this environment, there are big concerns around change management. These are some of the challenges facing the accelerated digitalisation of supply chain processes, Mr Philip concluded.
