UAE Cybersecurity Council Wins 4 Big Heroes of the Pandemic Awards

The UAE Cybersecurity Council Wins 4 big Heroes of the Pandemic Awards 2021 hosted by TV presenter Katie Jensen with A-list celebrity and 2x world champion boxer presenting the Special Recognition Awards.

Accepting the Hero of the Pandemic (Security & Defence) Award H.E. Dr Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government thanked the "hidden soldiers" who ensured that IT systems were kept running and continuity of services were maintained securely so people could use they Zoom or MS Teams accounts securely and with confidence.

The H.E. Dr Al Kuwaiti also thanked the UAE Government for the measures taken that allowed them to work easily and effectively.

A few minutes later just as His Excellency and team were on the red carpet doing interviews, Cybersecurity Council were once again announced winners. This time as winners of the Hero of the Pandemic (Digitalisation).

Shortly afterwards, as a testament to their outstanding performance in providing the UAE with reliable and secure online services and connectivity, the Cybersecurity Council was announced once again as the winners of two more Technology Awards: Hero of the Pandemic (Cyber-Security) and Best All-Round Security Solution Provider.

Accepting the fourth award for Best All-Round Security Solution Provider, H.E. Dr Al Kuwaiti addressed the audience once again: "All of the big names mentioned here today, you are the heroes. Yes, we might be organising or facilitating as well as helping with regulations and compliance by working together.

"We all know that cybersecurity is the responsibility of everybody and you helped us in achieving this security. This is the culture that we are hopefully building and ensuring that it is built with our partners who are here and across ther world.

"With that I say once again that you are the heroes and we appreciate all of your support. Thank you."
