China Mobile & Nokia to Create 5G Solution

Phone giant Nokia has announced a partnership with the China Mobile Research Institute to launch the first hybrid indoor radio solution with location services to meet 5G connectivity demands.

The solution is specifically for internal usage in busy large buildings, making it ideal for logistics.

According to China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), 70% of 5G business applications will take place indoors.

Expo 2020 to Offer 5G

Therefore, 5G must be able to function in clustered environments.

5G has long been heralded as the precursor to the Internet of Things (IoT), a system in which vehicles, machines and city infrastructure can communicate without human aid.
