Industry guru and moderator of the recent TLME Future of Logistics Conference Part 3 Lars Jensen recently reviewed the revolutionary new container terminal concept by EagleRail at the said conference.

Before EagleRail's presentation, Jensen said: "A key problem at many ports around the world, is how do you get containers moved, not a thousand miles away, but the 5, 10, 15 miles from the terminal.

"Most big cities have the same problem. Ports are located in densely populated areas... So, what EagleRail set out to do was [to] develop a different conveyance in getting containers to and from a terminal without occupying more space."

In this video Mike Wychocki, Founder and CMO of EagleRail talks about how his company identified a broken link in the global supply chain: short-haul trucking.

In answer to this problem EagleRail has developed a sustainable and economical solution that elevates and shuttles containers away from the port to designated rail or intermodal yards thus electrifying and digitizing a manual and environmetally polluting process like short-haul trucking.

EagleRail systems consume 60% less energy with 70% less emissions generated. Mr Wychocki then goes on to talk about various systems offered by EagleRail for a wide variety of use cases.

Watch this video to find out more about how ports can be decongested using sustainable digital technologies in container handling.
