Scars of the Pandemic Still Fresh and Industry is Adjusting: CEO LogiPoint

Speaking on the lessons learned from the pandemic at the TLME Future of Logistics Conference Part 3 held recently in Dubai, Farooq Shaikh, CEO of LogiPoint said the industry was going through an adjustment process as the "scars are still fresh."

Mr Shaikh said that it is human nature to move to the other extreme when emerging from a shock and the pandemic shortages have caused the industry to react by overstocking.

Mr Shaikh added that in the current environment, with the recent pandemic and the on-going geopolitical turmoil, it is difficult for people not to expect another crisis to hit the world.

And on the question, are we ready for it? Mr Shaikh said we are still learning, and it will take us time get future-ready and prepared for the next crisis.
