Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) is to create a centre for AI and advanced analytics alongside KPMG Al Fozan & Partners.
AI is increasingly seen as the harbinger of great change within the supply chain, as well as the wider world, with experts predicting wide-scale change by 2030.
The new centre will leverage KPMG's global innovation strategy for data and analytics, and facilitate cutting-edge technological development in Saudi Arabia.
An MoU has been signed marking the deal with His Excellency Eng. Haitham Al-Ohali, Vice Minister of Communications and Information Technology overseeing.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Ahmed Al-Theneyan, Deputy Minister of Technology Industry and Digital Capacities, and Mr. Abdullah Al-Fozan, Chairman of KPMG MESA and KPMG Saudi Arabia.
At the signing, His Excellency Eng. Haitham Al-Ohali praised KPMG's contribution to national capacity-building and the enhancement of digitalization, while indicating that the Ministry is keen on collaborating with the private sector to create a digital environment that embraces, fosters and attracts talents and skills in digital transformation and augments quality job opportunities.
