Turkish Cargo Wins Cargo Airline of the Year

Turkish Cargo has won the Cargo Airline of the Year Award at the TLME Excellence Awards 2019 at a star-studded evening in Dubai.

The event was of special note as it saw TLME utilise a public voting system that garnered millions of international votes to choose winners as if it were a “presidential election” – a first for a supply chain-based event in the Middle East region.

TLME CEO Sam Khan said: “2019 has been a tough year for cargo carriers, with turbulence witnessed across the world. This has meant that carriers have had to show resilience, skill and solid strategies to maintain their positions at the forefront of trade.

“Henceforth, this award celebrates the cargo airlines that are finely tuned and highly responsive to current air cargo market requirements, while operating strictly according to the highest prescribed global industry standards.

“Other than the obvious volumes of cargo moved, other considerations that aided in deciding the nominees include current network design and strategies, operational excellence, safety, and repeat business due to high levels of customer satisfaction.

“Huge congratulations to Turkish Cargo for winning this award.”
