Gulf Air, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national carrier, has once again kicked off its popular annual Ramadan iftar meal box distribution initiative – which is now in its sixth year.

The initiative centers upon members of the airline’s workforce volunteering to ensure the safety of the driving public on the road and facilitate the breaking of their fast by distributing iftar meal boxes at various locations around Bahrain each week during the Maghreb prayer.

Gulf Air’s Ramadan iftar meal box distribution initiative receives much positive feedback from the public every year.

This year, Gulf Air will distribute over 2200 iftar meal boxes throughout the holy month of Ramadan as one of its corporate social responsibility initiatives. Gulf Air says it is committed to giving back to the local community.

Gulf Air staff volunteering to participate in, and ensure the success of, this initiative reflect a broad cross-section of the airline’s workforce, both locals and expatriates.

Now University Students Can Carry More on Gulf Air

Earlier this week, the national carrier launched its Ramadan initiative in collaboration with Sabre, which sees the two trade partners collaborating to collect tangible and monetary donations by placing donation boxes at Gulf Air Headquarters and the Bahrain Financial Harbour.

With this they hope to encourage the spirit of giving – a fundamental value of the holy month.

The airline also collaborated recently with the Royal Charity Organisation to launch an ongoing initiative aimed at activating social responsibility by encouraging travellers to donate excess money change by placing it in special envelopes that are located in seat pockets onboard Gulf Air flights.
