flydubai Cargo Launches Digital Sales Platform with cargo.one Partnership
flydubai Cargo has announced a new partnership with cargo.one, marking the launch of its first digital sales platform. This collaboration will provide freight forwarders with instant digital access to flydubai Cargo’s capacity, allowing seamless booking of cargo across its global network.
The partnership aims to enhance customer experience by offering convenient interline routes through flydubai Cargo's agreements with other airlines. By targeting cargo.one’s community of freight forwarders in 121 countries, the airline seeks to expand its global reach and increase operational efficiency.
Launched in 2012, flydubai Cargo operates across more than 150 destinations in 53 countries, including regions such as Africa, Central Asia, the GCC, and Southeast Asia. In 2024, the airline expanded its operations to new destinations like Al Jouf and The Red Sea in Saudi Arabia, and Mombasa in Kenya.
Its fleet consists of 88 Boeing 737 aircraft, ensuring a reliable service network for cargo transportation. Freight forwarders benefit from high-frequency services to key destinations like Beirut, Colombo, Doha, and Salalah, with cargo transfers in as little as one hour in Dubai.
Mohamed Hassan, Senior Vice President of Airport Services & Cargo at flydubai, stated: “At flydubai, we are committed to adopting best practices in the industry. The launch of our digital sales platform with cargo.one will allow us to grow our market reach while ensuring a seamless booking experience for customers around the world."
Moritz Claussen, Founder & Co-CEO of cargo.one, added: “We are thrilled to partner with flydubai Cargo and support its digital sales strategy. Our collaboration will provide freight forwarders with fast, exclusive access to flydubai's cargo offerings and enhance their booking efficiency.”
The partnership with cargo.one will allow flydubai Cargo to strengthen its digitalization program, offering enhanced quoting and booking processes for freight forwarders. This initiative will also enable the airline to optimize its cargo capacities and achieve greater market responsiveness. From Autumn 2024, forwarders using cargo.one will be able to book flydubai Cargo capacity for general cargo across its extensive global network.
