Archer Aviation Looks to Middle East for Air Taxi Expansion
UAE among leading contenders for flying taxi producer
US-based start-up Archer Aviation is planning a strategy for expansion in the Middle East and Asia, bringing its flying taxis into the regional market.
Archer is reportedly in advanced talks with several potential partners in seven major international markets, according to Chief Executive Officer Adam Goldstein.
“There has been interest globally,” Goldstein said in an interview at the Paris Air Show, noting that the UAE was a leading contender.
Goldstein made it clear that ceritifcation was an important factor on his decision, stating: “We believe those markets will be a fast follow after obtaining type certification with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).”
