Shipa Delivery Expands Operations with New Jeddah E-commerce Gateway

TLME News Service

Shipa Delivery, a leader in on-demand, first-mile, and last-mile deliveries across the GCC, has announced the addition of a Jeddah e-commerce gateway to its two existing Saudi gateways in Riyadh and Dammam. This expansion is set to reduce delivery times for both inbound and outbound shipments across the Kingdom.

The Jeddah gateway will boost international merchants’ access to the rapidly growing Saudi market, offering enhanced customer experiences through quicker deliveries. It will also help manage increased capacity during peak periods, while reducing emissions for deliveries to Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea corridor and western regions. This strategic move further solidifies Shipa Delivery’s commitment to delivering world-class logistics solutions in the Kingdom.

Shipa Delivery revealed the opening of the Jeddah gateway during the Global Logistics Forum in Riyadh. The announcement was made alongside Agility, its parent company, a global leader in supply chain services and infrastructure with over two decades of operational experience in Saudi Arabia.

Shipa Delivery’s footprint in Saudi Arabia already includes over 18 hubs and 500+ delivery vehicles. The company’s proprietary technology platform offers shippers full tracking and visibility, providing a one-stop shop to manage key logistics functions like clearance, fulfilment, deliveries, and reverse logistics.

The Jeddah gateway, set to open in January, will reduce delivery times in western Saudi Arabia by 12 to 24 hours. This improved efficiency will benefit e-commerce clients by making them more competitive in the market. The gateway will also increase Shipa Delivery’s overall capacity in the Kingdom by up to 15%, particularly during peak seasons.

Borhene Ben Mena, CEO of Shipa Delivery, stated: "The Jeddah gateway will make our e-commerce clients more competitive by shortening delivery times. It allows us to expand our capacity in the Kingdom by up to 15%, relieving constraints that arise during peak periods. Additionally, it enables us to introduce more routes to a broader range of delivery destinations within Saudi Arabia."
