Egypt’s monorail project, funded by the UK, is set to start trial operations in October. It will use eco-friendly electric energy, reducing fuel consumption and pollution rates, according to a statement.

During a meeting, Egypt’s Minister of Industry and Transport, Kamel El-Wazir, and British Ambassador to Cairo, Gareth Bailey, discussed collaboration in industrial development, green hydrogen, and renewable energy. El-Wazir highlighted Egypt’s commitment to working with the UK and other international partners on joint ventures in industrial development. Bailey reaffirmed British companies' interest in contributing to Egypt's green energy sectors.

The discussions also covered the 2022 industrial partnership agreement and the 2021 memorandum of understanding on technology and advanced industries.
