On 15th June 2022, SunRui Marine Environment Engineering Co., Ltd. (SunRui) held the contract signing ceremony of six marine LNG fuel gas supply system (FGSS) with Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (DSIC).

The FGSS shall be delivered by SunRui to DSIC in 2023, for six newbuilding 16000TEU LNG powered container vessels. The vessels were ordered by one of the world’s largest container companies and designed to be equipped with the largest WinGD low-speed dual-fuel engines.

LNG is widely considered as one of the most promising alternative fuels for marine industry. In recent years, with successive release of new regulations, shipowners and operators are facing increasing pressure on minimizing their environmental footprint.

SunRui, as a subsidiary and research institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), has realized the plight of marine industry and started own research and development from 2017.

With five years’ of efforts, SunRui has mastered core technologies of FGSS, including system principle design, LNG tank design, cryogenic analysis, system simulation, prototype construction and etc.

After rounds of evaluations during FGSS selection of the newbuilding 16000TEU container project, SunRui Gaslink FGSS has won the trust and recognition from both DSIC and owner with its reliable performance.

Additionally, by imposing advanced DIGITAL-TWINS technology, SunRui has developed its own FGSS simulation platform. The platform digitalize the physical parameters and system models of entire FGSS, setting up a twin-system in the computer.

With the platform, the technicians can not only simulate the system’s full specification and operation during design stage, but also commissioning and crew training process.

Moreover, SunRui has built its own land-based FGSS testing facility in Yantai/China, for combination of research, simulation and actual operation.

The testing results of prototype have been successfully acknowledged and approved by the major system users including shipowners and shipyards, under the witness of Class societies in 2021.

Based on the well established global service network, SunRui is able to guarantee clients with the high-efficient aftersales services worldwide.

In addition to the already established spare parts warehouse centers in Germany, Singapore, Japan, USA and UAE, SunRui is now making plans for expanding the FGSS’s spare parts warehouse to more countries, to provide better services to clients.
