MSC Acquires Gram Car Carriers

Acquisition aimed at expanding MSC's reach in the car transportation market

MSC subsidiary, SAS Shipping Agencies Services Sàrl, has taken a majority stake in Norwegian transportation company Gram Car Carriers (GCC).

MSC shareholders approved the bid for 96.8% of GCC shares. SAS has received regulatory approvals from the relevant authorities in Ukraine, Portugal and Japan.

GCC is the world’s third-largest pure car truck carrier (PCTCs) with seventeen vessels of various sizes.

The final settlement will take on or before July 25, 2024.
