GenFlat containers saved over 70% of container repositioning costs

TLME News Service

During the second session of the TLME Future of Logistics Conference Part 3, TLME Chairman Joe Beydoun asked Drew Hall, CFO of GenFlat Containers, if his company had any solutions for dealing with the existing containers today to make them more efficient, reusable, and trackable.

Mr Hall said that they had looked at retrofitting solutions but at this point in time, they were more focussed on their existing collapsible container solution.

Mr Hall added that GenFlat's containers were collapsed and raised using actuators that needed to be at the points of destination and origin. So, in this way their containers could not operate outside a fixed route.

One could also add GPS sensors to keep track of the container at all times.

Mr Hall concluded by adding that GenFlat containers saved over 70% of container repositioning costs thanks to their collapsible and space saving design.
