TLME News Service

The Digital Freight Alliance (DFA), DP World’s independent freight forwarders association, has reached a significant milestone with over 7,000 members joining its platform. This rapid growth since its 2020 launch highlights the increasing demand for collaborative digital solutions within the supply chain sector.

This year alone, more than 1,200 new members have joined the DFA, marking the largest increase to date for the expanding network, which welcomed its 7,406th member this week. Since its inception during the pandemic, the DFA has emerged as the third largest non-exclusive network globally, allowing members to collaborate freely with multiple networks and partners outside the alliance.

The DFA acts as a digital platform, connecting key players across the logistics and freight forwarding communities. It integrates DP World’s marketplace platforms, including SeaRates, LandRates, and AirRates, into one cohesive system. With a focus on digital innovation, the DFA enables real-time tracking, seamless cooperation, and information exchange among its members.

The DFA’s membership now spans over 190 countries, including India, the UAE, the United States, Pakistan, China, and Turkey, reflecting its extensive global reach and commitment to international collaboration.

Hans Moerman, commenting on the achievement, stated: “Surpassing 7,000 members in such a short timeframe is a remarkable achievement for the platform. It demonstrates the need and value for an organisation like DP World to bring the freight forwarding community together to share knowledge and information on the latest tools and innovations that can enhance the efficiency of global supply chains."

DFA members benefit from free access to advanced digital tools, including the SeaRates ERP Tool, an integrated freight management solution, and the Cargoes Flow Tracking Tool, which offers end-to-end tracking across sea, air, and land. Premium members can also access the 'Structural Quote' option on the website, providing transparent freight quotes based on structural data analysis.

Additionally, members are invited to networking opportunities, including complimentary access to the Global Freight Summit, one of the industry’s largest annual events.
