Shipping major CMA CGM has won the Most Inspiring Sustainable Shipping Initiative Award at the TLME Inspiration Awards 2023. The award ceremony was presented by well-known TV personality Katie Jensen at the Ritz Carlton in Dubai on Thursday.

With IMO regulations on shipping emissions looming over the industry many shipping lines, big and small have the begun the shift to greener fuels and better engines in order to minimise their carbon footprints and reduce emissions.

This award goes to the shipping line that has taken concrete steps in terms of new ships, orders for eco-friendly fuels for their ships and adaption of more sustainable operational practices.

CMA CGM Group's Sustainable Development approach is based on three pillars: Acting for people, Acting for planet, and Acting for fair trade.

These pillars cover the Group's 12 sustainable development priorities. By making progress in these areas, CMA CGM Group intends to respond to the global challenges set out in the 17 United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted in 2015, and be a long-term leader of sustainable change in the maritime sector.
