At the recently held TLME Heroes of the Pandemic Awards 2021 hosted by TV news presenter Katie Jensen with celebrity and 2x world champion boxer, Amir Khan presenting the Special Recognition Awards, Unitechnik walked away with the Logistics Automation Solution of the Year Award.

Unitechnik has been very agile during the pandemic innovatively responding to changing situations while providing customers with the best logistics automation solutions in the market today.

Its UniWare warehouse management system is a case in point that allows logistics centre managers to optimize and automate operations by bringing all aspects of warehouse operations and management under a single window.

Other outstanding logistics automation solutions provided to customers in the last 12 months, in diverse industries ranging from mining to spice manufacturing, make Unitechnik a deserving winner of the Logistics Automation Solution of the Year Award.

Untechnik were the one of the first companies to provide their customers with automated systems that were widely used by the industry to distribute the vaccines across the world.

The recent commissioning of a big cargo system for Ethiopian Airlines at Addis Ababa was another successful project much appreciated by the industry.

On the effect of the pandemic on business, Mr Ettengruber said: "The pandemic has caused a lot of budget restraints for our customers. But we are hoping in the next couple of months the situation will improve."

However, looking at the brighter side Mr Ettengruber adds: "We are confident that with the demand for transport increasing, people will start making money again and use that money to invest in automation."
