The TLME Future-Proof Technologies Conference held recently in Dubai highlighted a new philosophy governing the logistics sector, one that champions emerging technologies, digitalisation, and cross-sector collaboration.
Conference host and industry thought-leader, Lars Jensen and the speakers across various sessions discussed ways for the supply chain to become ‘smart’ and ‘resilient’ during a time of challenging geopolitical tensions.
The conference begain with a key-note speech by Andre Simha, Global Chief Digital & Innovation Officer, MSC on the topic of ‘Future Proof Technologies’ followed by Mr Simha having a brief QnA with Lars Jensen on the state of play on the supply chain, and how to prepare for the future.

This opening session set the scene with insights into the state-of-play in the sector. Discussing themes such as China+1 and the diversification of the supply chain, the growth of India and geopolitical considerations, we explore the new landscape in which the supply chain functions.

Post lunch Dr Matthias Dobner, CEO, BOXBAY spoke how BOXBAY's revolutionary design have changed terminal operations forever . In this exclusive keynote, the CEO of BOXBAY laid out his futuristic vision for future ports and terminals.
After Dr Dobner's adress event host Lars Jensen asked some questions to the former regarding BOXBAY and its implementation while also opening the conversation out to the floor for questions from the audience.
This was followed by a QnA between Lars Jensen and MD of Portwise Dr Yvo Saanen in which they discussed terminal design and optimization of processes in container terminals by means of simulation and emulation.
SESSION 3: KEY TAKEAWAYS – AN INDUSTRY ROUNDTABLE
The final session saw the above mentioned experts and industry leaders take to the stage to have one last roundtable that explored the key topics of the conference and how the key themes fit together. Its was also an opportunity for the audience to ask key questions and to leave the conference with the steps to follow to future proof their businesses.
