Leading shipping and forwarding agency GAC Bahrain has made major progress on its Sustainability Action Plan by installing photovoltaic solar panels on the rooftop of its warehouse at Bahrain Investment Wharf, Al Hidd.

The 552 panels will generate approximately 300KW of solar power to meet the facility’s electricity needs.

Johan Fulke, GAC Bahrain’s Managing Director said: “This is a vital step moving forward in our green journey and also demonstrates our pledge to use renewable resources in line with the country’s Economic Vision 2030 and GAC Group’s commitment to adapt, innovate and reduce in its activities towards a sustainable future.”

For the project, GAC Bahrain has partnered with Al Mannai Projects, part of the Mannai Group Bahrain, which is one of the Kingdom's oldest and leading business corporations whose Renewable Energy Division provides solar energy solutions to homes, offices, retail and more.
