During the second session of the TLME Future of Logistics Conference Part 3 held recently in Dubai, conference moderator Lars Jensen asked the panellists how their companies using recent windfall profits to make technology changes in their day-to-day operations.
To this Sue Donoghue, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Arab Cluster said they were not going to automate everything overnight, but they were in the process of using technology like sensors to collect data that can identify bottlenecks in the supply chain.
New and emerging technologies like AI are helping to analyse this data and create better more efficient and sustainable supply chain solutions in line with the global ESG agenda, added Ms Donoghue.
