France's CMA CGM has signed a partnership agreement with Aphabet Inc.'s Google in order to integrate artificial intelligence technologies into its global operations, according to a Reuters report.

Using AI CMA CGM hopes to increase efficiency and optimise route planning, container handling, and inventory management, while lowering costs and carbon emissions.

CEVA Logistics, the group's logistics arm, will also use Google's AI-based tools to predict and plan operations at its warehouses through better volume and demand forecasting.
