AMLS to Set Up Food Import/Export Inspection Facility at Sohar Hub

Strengthens Oman's food supply chain

Al Madina Logistics Services Company (AMLS) has signed an Agreement with Oman's Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries & Water Resources (MOAF) to develop and operate Sohar inspection facility for agriculture, fisheries & animal shipments.

The Agreement was signed by H.E. Dr. Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of MOAF and Mr. Hassan Ehsan Al Naseeb, Chairman of the Board at AMLS. The contract signing was attended by H.E. the Under Secretary of MOAF and Mahmood Sakhi Al Balushi, CEO of AMLS, and other delegates.

The $9.1 million facility will provide inspection services related to imports/exports of various kinds of food produce.

Al Madina Logistics continues to develop bespoke turnkey projects in cooperation with the Public Sector that add value to logistics and strengthen the supply chain especially for food sector while enhancing quality systems and facilitating trade growth in line with Oman's Vision 2040.
