H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Visits Indian Space Research Facility

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited the Indian Space Research Organisation in Bengaluru, Kartnataka

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, visited the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in Bengaluru, Karnataka on Saturday 30th June, according to WAM.

Sheikh Abdullah expressed the benefits and value of the the cooperation of the space programme between both countries, for the peaceful expedition of space.

The ISRO currently maintains one of the world’s largest fleet of INSAT and IRS satellites, which are used for communications and remote sensing.

ISRO officials briefed His Highness on the achievements of the agency since its launch in the 1960s as well as updating Sheikh Abdullah on the agency’s current programmes.

Sheikh Abdullah was accompanied by Dr. Ahmad bin Abdullah Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education and Advanced Skills and Chairman of the UAE Space Agency; Dr. Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al-Banna, UAE Ambassador to India, and Jamal Hussain Al Zaabi, UAE Consul-General in Kerala.
