Brigadier Ali Atiq Bin Lahej, Director of the General Department of Airport Security at Dubai Police describes the critical role of his Department in providing security and screening services for all cargo at Dubai and Al Maktoum International Airports.
According to Brigadier Ali, all through the pandemic – and up to today – movement of air cargo has never stopped or even slowed down.
Likewise, aviation security services had to maintain peak performance levels despite the challenges in order to maintain Dubai’s global reputation as a secure trading centre.
Brigadier Ali goes on to talk about how his administration has maintained the highest levels of readiness to successfully handle any situation. He acknowledged the leadership of Dubai and the UAE for their support and initiatives undertaken during these challenging times.
Security at Dubai’s Cargo Village was also the Department’s responsibility and it has managed to maintain business continuity for all companies there by providing secure shipping operations at all times.
Dubai is seeing nearly a 110 cargo flights to over a 100 destinations every day. It continues to remain a crucial link for global shipping and Brigadier Ali vows to continue to do his best to ensure that air cargo is moved safely through all Dubai airports.
