Dubai International Airports (DXB) has continued an exceptionally busy summer by attracting 3.8 million travellers in August alone, adding to a record-breaking season.
DXB hit an astonishing 8.2 million passengers in July, 2018; its second busiest month ever.
The airport clocked monthly traffic exceeding 8 million passengers on three other occasions in 2017 – in January (8.03m), July (8.06m) and August (8.23m).

Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al Merri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, said: “Dubai International Airport is on top of the busiest airports in the world, especially during public holidays and Eid days, as many travellers come to spend their vacation in the UAE, especially in Dubai.
“With the rapid developments in the city, more people have become interested to visit.
“We follow our leaders’ directives to make people happy. It is a major goal of GDRFA and we are keen to implement it by having the necessary mechanism to make it easy for travellers, especially during holidays.”
