Dubai Airport’s Passenger Levels Rise 2.1%

New figures show why Dubai is busiest region for international travel

New figures show that the number of passengers travelling through Dubai International Airport has risen 2.1% in October, according to a statement from the airport.

A total of 6.9 million passengers used the airport in October 2017, with 7 million passengers using the airport in the same month of 2018.

Dubai International is the world’s busiest airport in terms of international travellers, a stat largely due to the popularity of Dubai as a destination, and its strategic location from cross-world flights.

In terms of cargo, Dubai International Airport handled around 238,000 tonnes of cargo in October, which marks a 2.5% rise.
