Sheikh Mohammed Attends GCC Summit

Summit took place in Saudi Arabia

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has attended the 39th session of the GCC Summit.

He was received at King Salman Air Base Airport by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud who welcomed him and the accompanying delegation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The 39th Gulf Cooperation Council summit ended without longterm solution to the ‘Gulf Crisis’, which refers to the ongoing blockade with Qatar.

GCC to be Leader in 5G Networks

The blockade began after several GCC states accused Qatar of supporting terrorism.

Qatar has denied the charges and said the boycott aims to impinge on its sovereignty.

The UAE delegation included Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi.

Also attending are Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Anwar Gargash; UAE Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan and Director General of Dubai Protocol and Hospitality Department Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman.
