HH Hamdan Bin Mohammed Talks Trade with Apple and Cisco at World Economic Forum

Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has attended the World Economic Forum (WEF), which is being held in Davos, Switzerland, from 22nd to 25th January, where he has spoken to several major names regarding trade.

The theme of this year's WEF is "Globalisation 4.0: Shaping a Global Architecture in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution."

President of the Swiss Confederation and Head of the Federal Department of Finance Ueli Maurer and Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum Klaus Schwab delivered the event’s keynote speeches.

In his special address, Ueli Maurer highlighted how Globalization 4.0, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and our day-to-day lives are all influenced by the galloping pace of new technologies.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has met with both Cisco and Apple.

In his meeting with Apple’s CEO HH Hamdan bin Mohammed stated the UAE and Dubai’s experiments present a model for development and offer an incubator for innovation and technology.

He also outlined how Dubai became a global magnet for international companies and entrepreneurs as the emirate offers good opportunities to help business leaders to transform their plans and ideas to reality.

During his meeting with Cisco, HH Hamdan bin Mohammed said: “The UAE is looking ahead and understands the important role of technology and the country utilizes technological solutions to develop its services and work.”

Sheikh Hamdan also met and spoke with Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum.

The Crown Prince of Dubai indicated that the UAE's effective participation in the Forum falls in line with the leadership's directives to promote successful international partnerships to serve humanity at large.

He also highlighted the significance of this international event as a global platform to develop future-oriented visions.

Sheikh Hamdan and Schwab spoke about ways to develop the distinguished relations between the UAE and World Economic Forum and promote their cooperation to harness the Fourth Industrial Revolution to establish a new model for knowledge and innovations aimed at ensuring a better future for generations to come.
