Dubai Municipality has gifted 3,200 residential plots to its citizens in a bid to heighten welfare and living standards in the emirate.
According to reports, the plots will be "fully serviced" and will comprise "basic and entertainment facilities and parks".
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai said: "We continue to place the uppermost priority on ensuring the welfare of citizens and enhancing social cohesiveness and family stability."
The news follows a recent move by the Dubai government to allocate 11,500 land plots to citizens as well as to grant housing loans worth 7 billion dirhams to 7,000 people.
The recent initiative has come after Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, set up the Higher Committee for Development and Citizens Affairs.
